Police arrested several suspected illegal aliens found squatting with guns and drugs in a Bronx home.
NYPD officers chased 24-year-old Hector Desousa Villata, who is believed to be from Venezuela, into the home on Hull Avenue after receiving a call about a man with a gun just outside of a nearby school.
But police found more than just Desousa Villata in the occupied home. They also found 7 other illegals, one of which tried to flee with a weapon but was quickly arrested.
After executing a search warrant, police soon found “two more loaded guns, three loaded extended magazines, ammunition, and a bag of ketamine mixed with cocaine,” ABC 7 reported.
They also discovered a 7-year-old child in the home.
“Two of the people with the guns had open cases, one for an attempted murder in Yonkers, and one walking around with an open gun indictment, walking around,” said NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell.
According to neighbors, the owner of the home had been trying to evict the squatters for months.
“They’re squatters and the owner has been trying to get them out of the apartment for the longest period of time,” said neighbor Alfred Munoz. “I think he has a court date set, apparently because they’re squatters for more than 30 days…they came, they were a disruptive force mainly because there were a lot of them. You didn’t know who was staying, not staying there, and the owner of the building had a hell of a time trying to get them out.”
Desousa Villata, who had already been charged with attempted murder for an unrelated shooting, and the others were charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of controlled substances and acting in a manner injurious to a child.
But thanks to Democrat soft-on-crime policies, officials say all of the men but two were released without bail.
The squatting crisis in New York has garnered national attention after several recent incidents, including a Queens homeowner who was arrested after a squatter sicced the police on her.
In another horrifying scenario, a woman was recently beaten to death last month after she reportedly encountered a pair of squatters living in her dead mother’s vacant Manhattan apartment.
A Venezuelan national on TikTok had also been calling for fellow illegal aliens to “invade” U.S. homes and even rent them out for a profit.
His account was terminated and he was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement shortly after White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was confronted about his antics.
Expect these squatting incidents to accelerate as Joe Biden’s regime continues to allow millions of unvetted illegal aliens to pour across the open borders.
