Biden Regime Suspends Legal Border Crossings to Service Illegal Aliens Instead

Processing at key vehicle checkpoints to be halted or reduced so border personnel can focus on surge of illegals

The Biden regime has announced that multiple checkpoints along the U.S.-Mexico border will experience temporary closures or reduced services as personnel are pulled away to handle waves of illegal aliens instead.

On Monday, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) suspended vehicle processing operations at Eagle Pass International Bridge 1 in Eagle Pass, Texas, and reduced vehicle processing in Lukeville, Arizona.

Eagle Pass and Lukeville have been epicenters of the Biden border catastrophe for some time, but the number of illegal crossings in both locations continues to surge higher.

Personnel at those checkpoints will be redirected to “assist the U.S. Border Patrol with taking migrants into custody,” CBP explained in a statement.

“In response to this influx in encounters, we will continue to surge all available resources to expeditiously and safely process migrants.”

As independent journalist Auden Cabello points out, the decision to impair legal ports of entry primarily affects law-abiding travelers and international commerce, not illegal aliens.

Cabello demonstrated the stark contrast between legal and illegal traffic into Eagle Pass using his own drone footage.

Legal entrants on foot and in vehicles can be seen waiting in lines at the checkpoint on the international bridge, while migrants who illegally crossed the Rio Grande wait on U.S. soil below the bridge as they are processed and transported further into the country by federal authorities.

NewsNation correspondent Ali Bradley shared footage of the Border Patrol checkpoint in Lukeville, which sat closed as vehicles passed by on the highway unimpeded.

AZ: The Border Patrol checkpoint is also closed outside of Lukeville where the influx is currently happening—CBP says it is taking an “all hands on deck” posture to respond to the thousands of migrants crossing daily. https://t.co/3tyHZN1vtZ pic.twitter.com/PqpDqmnXyr

Bradley reported that the Border Patrol checkpoint on I-19 at Nogales, Arizona, was also closed as of Monday due to an apparent staffing shortage.

“All available manpower will be diverted to assist with processing, detention and transportation throughout sector,” CBP reportedly stated.

Both Nogales and Lukeville lie in Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector, which is now the busiest along the southern border by a substantial margin with more than 55,200 ‘encounters’ during the month of October – an increase of 140% over the same period in 2022.

The sector is currently averaging well over 2,000 apprehensions daily, along with many known and unknown ‘gotaways.’

Chaos unfolds constantly along the U.S.-Mexico border, as Infowars regularly reports.
