Exercise expert reveals she fled California after its policies became too radical.
Policies in California have become so far left they’re pushing centrist liberals like fitness guru Jillian Michaels out of the state.
Speaking with Sage Steele about why she left the Golden State, the fitness expert acknowledged having a diverse background that seemingly would fit well in California, however she says the state’s liberal policies have become too radical to contend with.

“I grew up here. I’m a woman, and a gay woman. My mom’s a Jew. My dad’s an Arab. I have a black kid and believe it or not. My son is half Latin even though he doesn’t look like it. I hold a million cards in your game of woke victimology poker,” Michaels said.
“And when I leave, California, maybe you’ve lost,” she added. “Just maybe like, when you have me running from home? Maybe it’s gone way too far.”
Michaels went on to say she identified with sentiments expressed by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk noting a shift not in personal politics but in the state’s political landscape.
“I actually haven’t changed. The world around me is shifting and I haven’t moved,” she said, going on to give examples of recent outrageous legislation.
“Some of these laws that are passing here are absolutely fucking mind-boggling in relation to crime, protecting our kids…We’re decriminalizing everything, which arguably I would probably be okay with but we’re not regulating any of it.”
Michaels also slammed laws allowing adult men to “sleep with 14-year-olds.”
“I mean, I could be liberal. I could go there with you. But yeah, I grew up this way. But when it’s like, ‘Oh, and then what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna pass a law for LGBTQ rights so that 24-year-old men can sleep with 14-year-old boys and not have to register as a sex offender because it’s just not fair to the gays.’ I’m like, I’m just, what?” she said, laughing in disbelief.
Michaels also protested against the state’s decision to allow children to use puberty blockers and hormone medication for gender transitions.
“It’s insane. Like, I’m, I just can’t. It’s, it’s madness. It’s madness to me. I could go on and on and on. And it’s madness.”
