Political commentator and Big3 basketball star Royce White won Minnesota’s Senate Republican primary Tuesday night, setting up a showdown with Democrat incumbent Amy Klobuchar.
White, a strong ally of Donald Trump and frequent Infowars guest, won the primary with over 74,500 votes, defeating runner-up Navy veteran Joe Fraser, who received over 56,500 votes, along with six other GOP opponents.
White showed appreciation to Minnesota voters on X following his victory.
“I thank every Minnesotan who voted in tonight’s primary election. I’m deeply honored to have your support during this critical time in our nation’s history,” the former NBA player wrote.

“Free Steve Bannon,” White added, referencing the jailed former Trump advisor, whose “War Room” program he often appears on.
On his website, White distinguishes himself as a candidate who won’t “sell out.”

Responding to a Huffington Post article painting him as a MAGA extremist, White called on the news outlet to note “that I’m the first Black candidate in Minnesota history to be nominated for U.S. senate by EITHER major party.”

Klobuchar has held her Senate seat since 2007 and embarked on a failed candidacy for the 2020 Democrat presidential nomination. She stayed in the race longer than Kamala Harris, who dropped out in December 2019, but exited in March 2020 after a series of Super Tuesday losses, except in her home state.
