Another Lie! Walz Made Up Key Parts of His Political “Origin Story”

Tim Walz simply “made up” his political origin story, the Washington Examiner has revealed

Tim Walz fabricated key details of his political “origin story,” an encounter that supposedly saw him barred from a George W. Bush campaign rally, according to The Washington Examiner.

Walz claimed that he was inspired to run for public office when he attempted to gain entry to a George W. Bush rally in 2004, only to be turned away when event staffers noticed a John Kerry sticker on the wallet of one of the two students who were with him.

The Atlantic described the supposed encounter between Walz and his students on the one hand and the event staffers as a “KGB-style interrogation.”

The Washinton Examiner spoke to sources and used public records to show that large parts of the Walz story simply don’t add up.

For starters, Walz was actually admitted to the rally. He went inside, but the teenagers who were with him did not.

The two teenagers who were with him were not his students.

“And while Walz framed the squabble as the ‘moment that I decided to run for office’ since he had ‘never been overly involved in political campaigns,’ evidence suggests that Walz was already politically active by that point: He participated days earlier in an anti-Bush protest before the 2004 Bush rally in Mankota, Minnesota, on Aug. 4, an image confirms.”

A Bush staffer who worked the rally told the Examiner that Walz was “looking for an origin story” so he simply “made one up.”

The Harris-Walz campaign did not return a request for comment from the Examiner.

Walz has come under significant pressure since his selection as Kamala Harris’s running-mate to explain a series of apparent lies and misrepresentations. Walz has been accused of “stolen valor” for inflating his service rank with the Minnesota National Guard, for suggesting he wielded “weapons of war” in an active conflict when he didn’t, and for leaving his National Guard unit on the eve of its deployment to Iraq. He has also lied or misrepresented the circumstances of his wife’s fertility treatment and a DUI offence in the 1990s.

The Minnesota governor is also being investigated by the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability for his close links to China. Walz has travelled to China around 30 times since 1989 and represented China’s interests vigorously in the United States. A former student who travelled to China with Walz described him as “Maoist to the core.”
