BREAKING: Man Arrested for Threat to Kill GOP Presidential Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy at Campaign Stop

‘Great, another opportunity for me to blow his brains out!’ man reportedly wrote in text message to Ramaswamy’s campaign.

A man in New Hampshire was arrested Monday after allegedly plotting to kill Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy at a campaign stop.

Tyler Anderson, 30, of Dover reportedly sent a threatening text message to Ramaswamy’s campaign on Friday stating he intended to show up at a campaign stop at the Roundabout Diner in Portsmouth to kill the GOP contender.

“Great, another opportunity for me to blow his brains out!” Anderson reportedly wrote in a text to the campaign last week, adding he’d also “kill everyone who attends.”

The campaign did not publicize the threats in order to prevent copycat actors, and instead quietly reported the threats to law enforcement last week.

The motivation behind Anderson’s threats are as yet unclear.

NBC News reports: “Court documents state that Anderson admitted to the police that he sent the texts and that he had sent threatening texts to other campaigns as well.”

A spokesperson for Ramaswamy’s campaign noted, “We are grateful to law enforcement for their swiftness and professionalism in handling this matter and pray for the safety of all Americans.”

Anderson is scheduled to see a federal judge in Concord, New Hampshire, Monday and could spend up to five years in prison for threatening a presidential candidate.

The Ramaswamy campaign said events would continue as scheduled, noting plainclothes security staff would also be among the crowd.

The incident comes as Ramaswamy participated in an X Spaces discussion over the weekend, joining Infowars host Alex Jones and X owner Elon Musk for a conversation on the preservation of free speech and Jones’ account reinstatement.
