Horst D. Deckert

BREAKING: Newsmax Reports Biden Has Agreed To Step Down As Democratic Nominee THIS WEEKEND

Biden_Brain.jpg

“This decision was reached, I’m told all of a sudden, because of the high-level pressure from Nancy Pelosi, Barrack Obama, and others. As well as the decision of many of Biden’s top aides that there was no path forward for him and that he would not be able to win this election.”

President Joe Biden has agreed to step down as the Democratic nominee as early as this weekend, according to a breaking report from Newsmax.

“According to my sources, President Biden has agreed to step down as the Democratic nominee,” said Journalist and Newsmax commentator Mark Halperin at the RNC Thursday. “It will happen as early as this weekend. His speech has been drafted for him.”

“He will continue on as president – is his intention. He also will not, I’m told, endorse Vice President Harris as his successor.”

Halperin continued:

“They’re hoping [Biden] will endorse an open process in which, the convention will be open to Vice President Harris and a few other candidates in Chicago to pick the Democratic nominee for president.

The belief is that Vice President Harris is already looking at potential running mates to go to Chicago with a full ticket including one possibility, Andy Beshear the governor of Kentucky; and perhaps the governor of Pennsylvania, Governor [Josh] Shapiro.”

Other possible candidates being talked about include Gavin Newsom, the Governor of California; perhaps Gretchen Whitmer…

On the first ballot: the regular delegates would be allowed to vote under this agreement that’s being talked about amongst the president and high-level Democrat officials.

The regular delegates will vote on the first ballot. If there is no winner on the first ballot, the so-called super delegates will be allowed to vote on the subsequent ballot.

This decision was reached, I’m told, all of a sudden, because of the high-level pressure from Nancy Pelosi, Barrack Obama, and others. As well as the decision of many of Biden’s top aides that there was no path forward for him and that he would not be able to win this election.”

The whole situation is being described as “fluid,” with Halperin releasing more details on X, making it clear that Biden will NOT resign the presidency or endorse Harris.

BREAKING NEWS: Multiples sources outline the apparent state of play on Biden at this time:

* plans to announce withdrawal from nomination as early as this weekend, with Sunday most likely

* Jon Meacham polishing up remarks

* Biden with NOT resign the presidency

* Biden will… https://t.co/l0LrfDTvOL

This story is developing…

Biden won the primary. Removing him now via convention is, objectively speaking, anti-democratic. I realize the democracy talk is all fake, but it would be nice to see people at least pretend that allowing the elite to remove the voter selected candidate is a problem.
