Illegal ‘migrants’ are being given safety equipment and instructions on how to jump off moving trains once they reach the United States, according to reports.
A situational awareness alert being circulated internally among Border Patrol agents indicates cartels are providing gear for dangerous train disembarkations within the U.S. as part of a new ‘Tactic, Technique, or Procedure’ (TTP) being employed by smugglers and illegals.

An image showing a man wearing a motocross-style helmet and padding is included in the memo, which was obtained and published this week by NewsNation correspondent Ali Bradley.
Another image shows a masked man standing on a ladder and demonstrating how to exit a moving train “safely,” according to Bradley.
“On August 8, 2024, Del Rio Sector Operations Center (OPCEN) gained information of a new TTP that is being used by undocumented migrants being smuggled via trains,” the memo states.
“Migrants are being instructed to jump off moving trains, while in the U.S. to avoid detection. Smugglers are providing safety equipment and instructional videos on how to jump off the train in a safer manner to avoid injury.”
Migrants illegally ride trains throughout North America and many cross U.S. borders hiding in train cars — or even inside automobiles and other cargo being hauled into the country by rail.
In March, an Indian national was seriously injured when she jumped from a train arriving from Canada to Buffalo, NY.
In November of 2023, Border Patrol agents rescued an illegal alien whose legs were severed when she threw herself off a moving train near Del Rio, TX.
