Another 91 boat migrants interdicted immediately after 305 returned to Haiti, Bahamas

Hundreds of illegal migrants were returned to Caribbean islands this week after being intercepted at sea by U.S. authorities.

The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) announced the repatriation of 305 boat migrants to Haiti and the Bahamas following multiple maritime busts over the past week.

On Sunday, a vessel carrying 109 migrants of unspecified nationalities was interdicted by two USCG cutters near Anguilla Cay in the Bahamas.

The passengers were disembarked and later transferred to the custody of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force.

On Monday, a USCG crew returned 196 migrants to Haiti following two interceptions that took place on June 5 and 6 in waters near the troubled island nation.
