“There was no doubt he was a true believer,” said a student who travelled to China with Walz in the 1990s
Kamala Harris’s running-mate Tim Walz is “Maoist to the core,” according to a student who accompanied the Minnesota Governor on one of his many trips to China.
“It was almost a daily revelation of how much he adores the communist regime,” the former student told Alpha News, when he described his trip to China with Walz. He asked to be referred to only as “Shad.”
Shad travelled to China with Walz in the summer of 1995, and spent several weeks there with him. They visited Tiananmen Square, trekked along the Great Wall of China, and visited a number of different areas of the country.
The former student says he was taken aback by Walz’s adoration of China and, in particular, its communist ideology.
“There was no doubt he was a true believer,” Shad said.
“I’ve been trying to tell people this for 30 years. Nobody wanted to listen.
“At night, we’d go out, we’d walk the street fairs. We’d be buying souvenirs and Tim was always buying the little red book. He said he gave them as gifts… I saw him buy at least a dozen on the trip.”
“It would be like in Germany and buying copies of Mein Kampf,” Walz’s former student added.
“If there was any doubt about what I’m saying just look at the policies enacted by his administration like the country’s worst abortion law, anti-free speech, the riots. He’s a Maoist to the core and should not be underestimated.”
Shad went on to tell Alpha News that “People need to have their eyes wide open.”
“The snitch hotline in Minnesota is straight out of CCP. Tim Walz is a very bright guy. None of this by accident.”
On Friday, James Comer, who leads the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, announced an investigation into Walz’s links to the CCP with a press release and a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray.
“The CCP has sought to destroy the United States through coordinated influence and infiltration campaigns that target every aspect of American life, including our own elected officials,” Comer said in the press release.
“Americans should be deeply concerned that Governor Walz, Kamala Harris’s vice-presidential running mate, has a longstanding and cozy relationship with China. Mr. Walz has visited China dozens of times, served as a fellow at a Chinese institution that maintains a devotion to the CCP, and spoke alongside the President of a Chinese organization the State Department exposed as a CCP effort to influence and co-opt local leaders. FBI briefers recently informed the Committee that the Bureau’s Foreign Influence Task Force investigates CCP activity that is similar to China’s engagement with Governor Walz. The American people deserve to fully understand how deep Governor Walz’s relationship with China goes.”
The press release goes on to detail how Walz began organizing school trips to China, funded by the CCP, in the early 1990s, and then set up a private company which organized annual trips to China, until being dissolved days before Walz entered Congress in 2007. Walz has visited China an estimated 30 times, and held various positions of influence with regard to US-China relations.
In his letter to FBI Director Wray, Comer asks for a variety of documents and information relating to Walz’s activities in and with regard to China, including about Chinese individuals and organizations and any warnings or guidance issued to Governor Walz about “subnational government officials engaging with the PRC, CCP, and the CCP’s proxies.”
Shad told Alpha News that he had sent a letter to the House Oversight Committee and also spoken to a member of James Comer’s staff.
In addition to questions about his longstanding ties to China and the CCP, Walz has faced scrutiny for his relationships with a radical pro-Hitler Muslim cleric in Minnesota and large amounts of funding provided by his administration to a Muslim group with links to Al Qaeda.
