German media has retracted the claim.
German state television broadcaster ZDF has corrected a false report claiming that a radical Islamist demonstration in Hamburg was organized by those “close to a right-wing extremist group observed by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution.”
The false claim was made on the morning news program heuteeXpress on April 29 by presenter Sara Bilda.
“In fact, the correct sentence would have been “that ‘Muslim Interaktiv’ is being monitored by the Hamburg Office for the Protection of the Constitution as a confirmed extremist movement in the Islamist milieu,” the broadcaster clarified.

The correction has been published on the website of ZDF. However, the reporting initially sparked confusion, with social media users speculating if the Islamic Initiative was indeed a right-wing group since the Office for the Protection of Constitution, for instance, lists all anti-Semitic crimes as “right-wing” even if they are committed by Muslims or leftists.
As Remix News recently reported, 1,000 Islamists living in Germany marched through Hamburg on Saturday denouncing democracy and calling for the country to become a caliphate — a move that would introduce Sharia law into Germany.
Demonstrators held placards that read “Caliphate is the solution” and chanted for Muslims to disobey the government it called a “dictatorship of values.”
Meanwhile, the Islamist demonstration on Saturday continues to make waves. Numerous politicians have called for the “Muslim Interactive” group to be banned. And there are also calls for the resignation of Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD).
The approximately 1,000 participants at the meeting had called for the establishment of a caliphate and complained about allegedly Islamophobic policies in Germany. They also criticized “cheap lies” in the reporting on the Gaza war and repeatedly expressed their protest with shouts of “Allahu Akbar”.
