The US House of Representatives passed a resolution Thursday condemning Vice President Kamala Harris for failing in her duty as “border czar” to secure the southern border.

Six Democrats, including Reps. Jared Golden, (D-Maine), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, (D-Wash.), Mary Peltola, (D-Alaska), Henry Cuellar, (D-Texas), Don Davis, (D-N.C.), and Yadira Caraveo, (D-Colo.), sided with Republicans for a 220-196 vote.

Despite voting in favor of the resolution, Caraveo has endorsed Kamala for president.
The measure, introduced by Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) after Biden withdrew from the 2024 race, lambasts Harris for serving “93 days as the border czar before finally visiting the southern border on June 25, 2021.”
“No matter what congressional district you go to, the number one issue facing Americans is Kamala Harris’ open border crisis,” Stefanik said during a speech on the House floor. “The American people deserve elected officials who understand the gravity of the crisis at the border.”
The measure also states, “President Biden’s and Border Czar Harris’s far left Democrat open border policies are to blame for this historic crisis.”
Thursday’s vote comes as the media and Democrats have engaged in a bizarre cover-up in efforts to shield Harris from criticism over the illegal immigration crisis, attempting to claim Joe Biden never appointed her “border czar.”

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer discussed the significance of the resolution, telling Fox News, “The mainstream media can try to rewrite history all they want, but the American people know the truth and our House Republican majority will remind them. Kamala Harris is Biden’s border czar, and the unprecedented invasion at our borders is hers to own.”
