Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales and spouse of the heir to the British throne Prince William, released a video Friday openly discussing her recent cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy treatment.

“I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me for which I’m so grateful,” Middleton stated in a message posted to X.
“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London. And at the time it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful, however tests after the operation found cancer had been present.”
“My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy,” she continued. “And I’m now in the early stages of that treatment. This of course came as a huge shock. And William, and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately at the sake of our young family.”
Middleton’s message to the plebs comes amid much speculation something was awry after she’d gone missing from the public eye for several months, with many accusing the Royal Family of releasing photoshopped videos and photos to keep up appearances.

On social media, some suspected her cancer may have developed as a result of the Covid-19 vaccine, which has been blamed by several top doctors for contributing to a rise in cancer diagnoses.
