Musk made the claim on Twitter
Elon Musk has claimed to have dodged at least two assassination attempts in recent months.
The billionaire was responding to a Tweet by Ian Miles Cheong when he made the claim.
“Please, please triple your protection. If they can come for Trump they will also come for you,” Cheong Tweeted at Musk.
“Dangerous times ahead,” Musk replied.
“Two people (separate occasions) have already tried to kill me in the past 8 months. They were arrested with guns about 20 mins drive from Tesla HQ in Texas.”
The Tesla CEO provided no further details.

Yesterday Infowars reported that Musk had donated a “sizeable amount” to a pro-Trump PAC.
Anonymous insiders told Bloomberg that Musk made the donation to America PAC, with no indication of the size of the gift other than that it was “sizeable.”
Musk has become an increasingly harsh critic of President Joe Biden, regularly using his social-media platform X to give voice to his criticisms. Recently he has Tweeted at length about the failure of Biden’s immigration policies and the need to secure America’s electoral process against fraud.
Musk has been careful, though, not to offer an explicit political endorsement for Trump until this point. In March, when Trump met with Musk and other wealth donors, Musk issued a statement saying, “Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US president.”
There’s also been talk of Trump giving Musk a role as a political advisor if he wins a second term.
Whether Musk’s open support of Trump will make him a target for further attempts on his life remains to be seen, but after yesterday’s events in Butler, Pennsylvania, it’s likely that he will be stepping up his security considerably.
