NBC News anchor Kristen Welker did not offer good news for the Democrat viewers Sunday, acknowledging that Joe Biden’s party is “in a state of crisis” after his disastrous debate last week.
Welker broke down how the presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and Biden may have been the most consequential since the first debate between Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy in 1960.
“Not since the first Nixon-Kennedy debate in 1960 has a debate had as much potential to shake up a presidential race. This morning there is widespread panic among the Democratic Party and questions about whether the president should drop out of the race,” she said.

The program then cut to a series of top Democrats and liberal influencers melting down over Biden’s humiliating debate performance.
Welker also noted that Biden is heading to Camp David to have a discussion with his family about his political future.
Biden strategist Anita Dunn was then shown explaining that the Biden campaign is asking “what do we do next?”
“If there is one thing we’re about it’s, okay, Barack Obama said bad debates happen, we had a bad debate, what do we do next? And you know, the president above all is focused on, ‘What do we do next? What do I need to go do?’”
Welker then went on to show Biden repeatedly assuring pundits that questions about his mental and physical fitness were legitimate, but told viewers to just “watch me” to make a determination.
“Well, on Thursday night, voters watched the president deliver a halting performance, at times appearing confused and repeatedly losing his train of thought,” Welker noted.
Despite assurances by the top Democrat standard bearers like Obama and the Clintons that Biden is still the man for the job, it appears NBC News has been given a new directive to dump Biden.
