‘The federal government has put the American people in jeopardy,’ says Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw.
A sheriff in Florida slammed the Biden administration’s open border policies after three illegal aliens were accused of kidnapping and raping a female resident.
Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw on Wednesday said the Biden regime’s irresponsible refusal to enforce immigration laws puts Americans’ lives in danger following the arrest of three Guatemalan illegals suspected of abducting a woman and sexually abusing her at two different locations.
“For them to be in this country, to be able to commit these types of crimes, is unconscionable,” Bradshaw said at a press conference, adding, “The federal government has put the American people in jeopardy.”

“What is happening at the Mexican border is going to affect us. I have been in law enforcement for 52 years and this is the worst I have seen it.” pic.twitter.com/Tg04GZvBnE— Team South Florida (@TmSouthFlorida) March 13, 2024
Bradshaw went on to point out problems at the border have profound effects inland, saying the suspects “in all likelihood” illegally crossed the US-Mexico border.
“Don’t think for a minute that what happens at the Mexican border doesn’t affect us here,” he said. “Here you have three illegals that should’ve never been in this country that committed a very serious crime — kidnapping and sexual battery of a lady. They shouldn’t be here.”
The sheriff’s remarks come as Andres Felipe Morales, 29, Darinel Ordonez Jimenez, 30, and Marcos Felipe Ramirez, 31, were arrested this week after abducting a woman from a residential area in Lake Worth Beach around 1 AM.
WPTV has more on the story:
According to the heavily redacted arrest report, the woman was walking to a gas station on Second Avenue and was encountered by the men. She described a “rapist,” later identified as Morales, was driving the vehicle. She told detectives the first sexual assault was across the street from a food market next to a gas station on Melaleuca Lane and Congress Avenue.
She said she was sexually assaulted by two others outside the pickup, including one filming the incident.
Eventually, the woman managed to escape the truck and flag down a driver.
Sheriff Bradshaw added that dangerous gangs hailing from Venezuela are making their way to Florida.
“They’re not gonna stay just in Miami,” Bradshaw said. “They’re gonna go where they need to go to do what they do. They don’t know if it’s Dade, Broward, Palm Beach County. They just go to do what they’re gonna do. And we’re gonna have to deal with them.”
The three illegals are currently behind bars in the Palm Beach County jail.
The incident comes as Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) introduced the “Justice for Victims of Sanctuary Cities Act” this week, aiming to provide families and victims of murder, rape, or any felony with legal avenues to seek relief if a jurisdiction declined to honor a lawful immigration detainer request.
The incident should serve as a wake-up call to all Americans, particularly as the country faces an uptick in illegal immigrant crime in recent months, coinciding with a surge of illegal crossings at the southern border on a daily basis.
