Photos on social media show Trump backers have launched a campaign to alert wait staff about the novel tax ban with informative messages noted near the gratuity line.
Waiters, waitresses, bartenders and other tip-earners receiving the completed bills then learn about Trump’s new plan to eliminate federal taxes on tips for hospitality workers.

One receipt features a message informing a service worker, “A vote 4 Trump is a vote 4 no tax on tips!”
The idea was inspired by hardcore Trump supporter Scott Presler, who urged others to mark their receipts with a message stating, “Elect Trump & you’ll keep 100% of your tips.”

“So this is the first time I’ve said this, and for those hotel workers and people that get tips you’re going to be very happy because when I get to office, we are going to not charge taxes on tips, on people making tips,” Trump said, adding he’d “do that right away, first thing in office.”
“It’s been a point of contention for years and years and years, and you do a great job of service, you take care of people, and I think it’s going to be something that really is deserved,” Trump said, addressing service workers.
