The top Military Industrial Complex think tank highlighted U.S. stagnation.
Military industrial complex think tank, research institute and consulting firm the RAND Corporation issued a report to Congress and the President in July which detailed the U.S.’s national defense strategy. One of its findings is that the country is not ready to win a major war.
“The threats the United States faces are the most serious and most challenging the nation has encountered since 1945 and include the potential for near-term major war. The United States last fought a global conflict during World War II, which ended nearly 80 years ago. The nation was last prepared for such a fight during the Cold War, which ended 35 years ago. It is not prepared today,” the report said on page v.
The report detailed escalating threats from foreign adversaries while also highlighting deficiencies in domestic military readiness.
“The Commission finds that, in many ways, China is outpacing the United States and has largely negated the U.S. military advantage in the Western Pacific through two decades of focused military investment. Without significant change by the United States, the balance of power will continue to shift in China’s favor,” the report said on page v.
In its new report, the Commission on the National Defense Strategy warns of mounting security threats, stresses innovation, and recommends strengthening the DoD as part of an “all elements of national power” approach to security. https://t.co/5daqljphsp

RAND also detailed the threat that North Korea and Iran pose when seen through the lens of a multi-front war, a threat that has become all too real in recent days.
“China and Russia’s “no-limits” partnership, formed in February 2022 just days before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, has only deepened and broadened to include a military and economic partnership with Iran and North Korea, each of which presents its own significant threat to U.S. interests. This new alignment of nations opposed to U.S. interests creates a real risk, if not likelihood, that conflict anywhere could become a multitheater or global war,” the report said on page vi.
Alex Jones previously reported that the RAND Corporation’s war-game predicted a WWIII scenario.
RAND also advised a few key weapons systems to invest in for further development while sunsetting obsolete ones.
“The war in Ukraine has demonstrated the need to prepare for new forms of conflict and to integrate technology and new capabilities rapidly with older systems. Such technologies include swarms of attritable systems, artificial intelligence–enabled capabilities, hypersonics and electronic warfare, fully integrated cyber and space capabilities, and vigorous competition in the information domain. Programs that are not needed for future combat should be divested to invest in others,” the report said on page vii.
Notably, former Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley recently predicted that a third of the U.S. military could be made up of robotic forces by 2039, setting the stage for the phaseout of human forces.
Despite this, the U.S. military is laying the groundwork for reinstitution of the draft.
Turning a volunteer human force into a mandatory human force then into a robotic force would certainly require a major change in mindset.
RAND called for a change in mindset in their July report.
“Implementing these recommendations to boost all elements of national power will require sustained presidential leadership and a fundamental change in mindset at the Pentagon, at the National Security Council and across executive branch departments and agencies, in Congress, and among the American public writ large,” the report said on page viii.
Infowars previously reported on another report by Govini, a Virginia-based military software company specializing in AI for the ‘defense acquisition process’ which found that the U.S. Military is made in China.
“The bipartisan commission, which includes top defense and national security experts, was established by Congress to evaluate U.S. defense strategies and recommend necessary changes. The RAND Corporation supported the report by providing analytic, administrative, editorial, and publication assistance,” Your News said regarding July’s report.
