TxDPS troopers pulled over a suspicious pickup hauling a camper top on US-57 in Maverick County.
The driver, identified as Houston resident Pedros Montes, denied a request to search the camper, so a U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) K9 was brought in.
The dog alerted to the camper, giving troopers probable cause to look inside.
“Troopers discovered seven illegal immigrants from Mexico concealed inside the camper,” TxDPS explained in a statement.
“Troopers arrested and charged Montes with the smuggling of persons with a firearm. Troopers located a handgun inside the vehicle.”
The illegal aliens were turned over to USBP.
Chaos unfolds constantly along the U.S.-Mexico border, as Infowars regularly reports.
