Watch: Biden Commerce Secretary Dismisses Grim Job Revisions as Trump Misinfo — Only to Learn They Came from Labor Dept.

Secretary of Commerce unwittingly proves she’s unfit to serve.

The Bureau of Labor released job figure revisions earlier this week showing the department overstated job growth by 818,000 jobs from April 2023 to March 2024, a staggering adjustment seized on by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

When confronted on the significant downward revision at the Democratic National Convention Wednesday, US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo rejected the figures as nonsense spewed by Trump.

However, she was quickly put in check by an ABC News reporter.

Watch the humiliating exchange below illustrating why Raimondo is unfit to serve:

Reporter: Nearly a million jobs “created” since Kamala took office do not exist.

Raimondo: “I don’t believe it because I’ve never heard Trump say anything truthful.”

Reporter: “It is from the Bureau of Labor.”

“When you hear that, do you potentially think that this new numbers could be a liability for this campaign?” the reporter asked.

“No, when I hear that, first of all, I don’t believe it because I’ve never heard Donald Trump say anything truthful,” Raimondo responded.

“It is, though, from the Bureau of Labor,” the ABC reporter added.

“I don’t, I don’t not familiar with that,” Raimondo stammered.

Former President Trump slammed the job revisions Wednesday during a rally in Asheboro, North Carolina:

TRUMP: Before we begin, I want to address the massive scandal around the revised job numbers that were just announced this morning. A little while ago, just before I came up, I got to see them, and it really isn’t a revision—it’s a total lie. Total lie. There’s never been any… pic.twitter.com/Epr4RX5Peq
