Steel bollard sabotaged eight times in three weeks on John Ladd’s ranch
Arizona rancher John Ladd recently showed reporters with immigration news outlet Border Hawk one of the many points along the frontier where smugglers and cartel operatives have sabotaged the border barrier to gain access to his land.
Ladd pointed out a single steel bollard that was cut eight times in just over three weeks this year as criminals continue to exploit weaknesses and lack of monitoring in the area.
“The reason they keep coming back to the same spot is because the cameras can’t see and there isn’t a lot of Border Patrol patrolling,” Ladd explained.
“You can never regrout the concrete and everything — it’s a weaker bollard. So they keep on coming back and just whacking on it every time.”
