Former Parliamentary staffer and Labour spokesman James Matthewson joined Alex Phillips on Talk TV for a discussion about recent unrest over mass migration, rising crime and the government’s reaction.
The insufferable ex-Labour spokesman told Phillips the British citizens of all races, religions and backgrounds posting photos online supporting the anti-immigration movement are “far-right” and “racist.”

“When people say, ‘Am I far-right? Am I racist, because I hold these views?’ Then, if you do hold those views, then yes, you are. And that’s the way it works,” he told Phillips.
The Talk TV anchor pointed out the movement to slow down immigration in the UK started “with a huge caucus of people,” and Matthewson pushed back by claiming Brits are upset with their country being flooded with migrants because of “lies and misinformation from people who seek division,” citing former boxing champion-turned podcaster Andrew Tate.
Becoming frustrated with the conversation, Phillips told the establishment political guru, “I worry that people like you have swallowed your own narrative to the extent that for some reason you cannot see the wood for the trees. You have spent so long gaslighting us that problems we see happening in our society don’t exist and that they’re our fault.”
After Phillips tried telling Matthewson the people are not upset for no reason at all and that their anger stems from real-life experiences, he told her, “It sounds to me like your making apologies for racism and fascism.”
“Of course I’m not, you idiot!” she answered. “Get him off, I do not want to speak to a man who seems to have a pathological problem with the truth. Idiot! This is why we’re not solving the problem… Because you can’t talk to them.”
