Former NBA champion Matt Barnes blasted the COVID vaccine mandates and pointed out they were pushed on the population without proper long-term safety testing.
During an appearance on the “Sage Steel Show” Sunday, the former Golden State Warriors starting forward explained how he regretted taking the experimental COVID shot at the time because the experts “didn’t know enough” about its long-term effects.
“It was so fast. For this pandemic to hit and all of a sudden within the first four to six months they have something that’s gonna keep you safe…to me, that’s just like, it sounds foolish to me,” Barnes said.

“We were the guinea pigs of this, whatever they put in us, we were the guinea pigs,” he said, questioning the potential long-term effects of the COVID jabs.
“Like normally, we don’t have to be the guinea pigs, but we were a guinea pig,” he continued. “And we don’t know how, especially in my mid-40s…it’s just like, how is this gonna effect me? These aches I’m starting to have all of a sudden, or the headaches I’m starting to get all of a sudden…so it’s just like, is this me getting old? Or is this…I took two shots, I almost took the third.”
Barnes also admitted he wants to remain ignorant about the COVID mRNA shot’s ingredients because now he can’t do anything to reverse taking the jab.
“To be honest with you now Sage, like now, I don’t even want to know if there’s bad stuff in it. Because it’s in my body now, what can I do now?” he asked.
Host Sage Steele agreed, adding, “I was never a conspiracy theorist. I just want truth. And when I see lies, immediately, then you go, well, what else have you lied to me about?”
Steele sued ESPN in 2022 over the network’s COVID vaccine mandate, claiming she was “sidelined” after criticizing the experimental shot.
